I am a 22yo professional event rider, based from a beautiful yard near Newent, in Gloucestershire. I am from a completely non-horsey family, and got into horses by chance, aged 9, by watching the film International Velvet on TV! I went through school aiming to set myself up with a career to help me fund the horses, but despite achieving very good grades throughout, I decided that I had to pursue my dream of working with horses full time and left to start my first working pupil position. As I had no family help with the horses, I knew I had to get the most experience possible in order to succeed. I spent the years 2015-2018 working for multiple top level event riders, gaining in depth knowledge of the riding and management of competition horses, which has allowed me to set up my own business, and to produce my own horses up the eventing levels. During this time I was also a dedicated British Eventing (BE) volunteer, and won their Young Volunteer of the Year award. I am committed to the sport of eventing, and to a life caring for and improving horses, with the hope that this leads to success at the highest level, and one day, on the British team.

BUDDY
Buddy is a 17.1hh, 13 year old, bay gelding by OBOS Quality. He has successfully completed many 4* events with Eilidh, including a 5th place at the prestigeous Blair Castle in 2019. Together, Eilidh and Buddy also competed in their first 5* at Pau, in France 2019. He is a lovely big horse with a big heart! As you can see from the photos on the website, he is also a very handsome boy and much loved by everybody on the yard.

RHUDI
Rhudi is a 15.2hh, 7 year old, dark bay gelding by Grafenstolz. He is very special to the Oldtown team, as he is a homebred horse. Together, Eilidh and Rhudi completed his first 2* in 2019 and qualified for and competed at the 6 year old National Championships at Osberton, in 2019. Rhudi is an exciting prospect for the future and has already shown just how great he is. This is a combination that are definitely worth following!
OLDTOWN QUALITY
BUCK
Buck is a 16.3hh, 4 year old, bay gelding by OBOS Quality. He was bought in 2019 by Eilidh's husband Patrick, in Ireland and then backed at the end of 2019. He has been to some training shows and has also been cross country schooling to gain confidence and experience. He will start his eventing career this season (2020), as soon as the season begins again. With Eilidh's guidance and wealth of knowledge, this horse is certainly one for the future.

REMI
Remi is a 15.2hh, 7 year old bay gelding by Zenith. He too is a homebred horse, which makes his progress over the coming years even more rewarding. He was a late starter in life, but has successfully competed in British Showjumping up to Discovery level. He is ready to start his eventing career and will hopefully be able to do so fairly soon, much like Buck!
OLDTOWN LUCKY PENNY
PENNY
Penny is the newest member of Eilidh's team at Oldtown Equine. She is a 16.1hh, 4 year old mare by OBOS Quality, out of a Cruising mare. This mare shows bundles of potential and Eilidh is extremely excited about her future with Penny. She is ready to go out and about and will do so, as soon as she is allowed to. One to watch for the future!
